Feeling like a rockstar, I cranked the radio up while I drove my car down the Northway. I opened the windows and let my hair down so it would blow around like crazy. I couldn't hear my own voice over the music as I screamed the lyrics of whatever 80's song was playing. I haven't felt this pumped in a long time. I finished photographing my first boudoir session, and I still can't believe I took these photos.
Nadine...
This sweet beautiful women you see below, will be one of my brides this year. Neither of us ever participated in a boudoir session before. I studied a lot, and looked at a lot of half naked bodies to get to this day (I know what you're thinking, if I had a nickel, right? JK). We made the journey together, Nadine as the muse, and me as the photographer, to capture the sexy godess you see before you.
As a surprise for her fiance, Nadine planned a boudoir session with me. As a gift before the wedding, she will present a small album of her favorite images from the session. What a great idea, right??!! Don't tell her fiance; we don't want to spoil the surprise.
Nadine is amazing and did all the sneaky planning. She timed her makeup and hair trial for the day of our boudoir session which "coincidentally" coincided with the couple's dating anniversary. Nadine's mom rented the room we used for the session as a gift for them to celebrate that evening. The room has beautiful natural light that kissed Nadine's face and body from all three front windows.
After warming up in the sun in her robe, we got a little sassy and dropped some of the robe ;-).
Nadine's mom provided a romantic picnic feast for the couple's special anniversary night including, strawberries, champaign, and mini-muffins for breakfast. Thoughtful reminders of love on napkins, paper plates, floral wrapped plasticware, and decorative towels adorned the room with color on the surrounding surfaces.
Nadine walked in the room with outfit number two, a gorgeous long sleeve black bodysuit, with pink and black rose lace embellishments, and netting on the front, my heart skipped a beat. This would make anyone's blood pump, especially her fiance.
Similar to my Wedding photography journey, Boudoir photography found me by chance. I have fallen in love with it and will never let it go. I think that light and airy boudoir provides a fresh and elegant look and a sense of sophistication and class.
And, I'll never get enough of those eyes!!
Above is only a tiny taste of our session. I want to be respectful of Nadine and to other visitors to my blog that may not want to see boudoir images. If you'd like to see more, I recommend you visit my boudoir page for select images from the full album. You will be prompted to complete two questions requiring visitors to be 18 or older to view the boudoir album.
Special thank yous to:
Nadine's mom for bringing us lunch, that was the biggest and best roast beef ever!
